Pioneer Motel Kangaroo Valley

Pioneer Motel Kangaroo Valley

Departing on the morning of Saturday 5th of April the trip has been planned to permit an op- portunity to enjoy the

Southern Highland Celtic Festivities of “Brigadoon” (colloquially known as men in dresses) en route in the village of Bundanoon. In the afternoon the MG drivers will enjoy the drive across the soft landscape and down into the very evocative vistas of this splendid valley deep inside the Morton National Park.

Charismatic accommodation has been reserved at the Pioneer Motel centrally located in Kangaroo Valley village for both Saturday and Sunday nights. Noggin and Natter opportunities certainly exist at this attractive motel along with car parking under ground below.  Your Sunday motoring will feature the nearby seaside, riverside, coastal and mountaintop country found along the many fine MG touring roads in this part of the Shoalhaven region. Perhaps even some culture too.

Air Museum HMAS Albatross

The early timing of this year’s event will avoid any clash with your plans for the 2014 Easter period. Open touring seems likely, offering many members their final chance to enjoy perfect coastal topless cruising weather this Autumn. Mondays return to Canberra is likely to be via HMAS Albatross Airfield, then climbing up the easy river valley scenic Braidwood Road to the Nerriga pub for lunch. A final section will take you across the Shoalhaven low level crossing to Tarago and then home via Bungendore.

The usual opportunity to misbehave and wear something outrageous is very likely to occur again but these finer details are “yet to be advised”. You
