DESCRIPTION:The MG Car Club Sydney\'s annual The MG Car Club Sydney Concou
 rs d\'Elegance & Show and Shine is one of the highlights of the calendar. 
 It\'s a relaxed social day gathered around our cars in the springtime – 
 one not to be missed. The purpose of the event is promote the MG Car Club 
 and foster general interest in the preservation, restoration and display o
 f classic MG vehicles consistent with the aim of \"maintaining the breed\"
 . It also provides an opportunity for members to show their MG cars whethe
 r they be road, concours, sporting or special vehicles. Cars are grouped i
 nto classes and a panel of expert judges examines each class, after which 
 class winners are assembled in a final round of judging to select the gran
 d champions. Trophies, medallions and certificates are presented on the da
 y to Concours and Road class winners. Normally the club members will prepa
 re light meals, tea and coffee in the appropriately named Abingdon café.
