The Three Bridges Picnic Run

A one hour run for an 80 km trip via Tharwa to Uriarra Crossing.

Gather at 10:45 at the Calwell Park and Ride off Johnson Dr at the rear of the Club. 

Please note that no fuel is available at Tharwa or further en route after departing the Tuggeranong suburbs. Fuel is available at the Calwell shops if you need to top up. 

Depart at 11:00 for Tharwa Village for a one hour trip. Turn left into Were St and follow Were St to the intersection with Tharwa Dr. Turn right onto Tharwa Dr and continue over the hill and down to a major roundabout. Turn left (first exit) and continue along Tharwa Dr to Tharwa. 

Turn right at Tharwa Village into Tidbinbilla Rd and continue past Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve towards the Cotter Reserve. The same road now becomes Paddy's River Rd. After descending into the Cotter Reserve now cross over the Cotter River Bridge and continue on the Cotter Rd until the intersection with Brindabella Rd. Turn into Brindabella Rd and continue until the T intersection with Uriarra Rd. 

Turn fight and follow to a crossing over the Murrumbidgee River. Continue on Uriarra Rd until the top of the hill and take the next right hand turn down on the road to the picnic area. Gather on the lawns on the right side in the park for a BYO picnic lunch.
