It’s good news week! All club events can resume once COVID restrictions are lifted.
Motorkhana is taking place on 14 November 2021
Following discussions with the Transport Industries Skill Centre (TISC) at Sutton Road where we use their Vehicle Manoeuvring Area (VMA) for our events they have advised that as a result of easing COVID-19 restrictions the motorkhana on Sunday, 14 November 2021 can go ahead – info here
October Member Monthly Update
Club Monthly Runs and Mid-Week Meanders will reconvene once the COVID restrictions are lifted. In the meantime, members wishing to use their CRS registered cars are still able to do so for regular events, obviously abiding by the latest ACT Public Health Regulations and the CACTMC guidelines for use of CRS registered cars.
Our thoughts are with our many MG friends in the States and Territories that are doing it really tough. Hang in there, you have our very best wishes and we hope to see you at our planned major MG event in 2023 – if not before.
Please remember that if you are in Canberra, our Club will always welcome and assist you if we can.

CLUB AGM WILL BE HELD ON 11 NOVEMBER 2021
The Club AGM will be held on 11 November 2021. This will be held at St Peters Church Hall, Weston should ACT COVID restrictions and the Church Hall regulations allow this to happen.
If that is not be possible, the AGM will be held via Zoom.
This will only be the AGM and not the November Monthly Meeting

New MG Logo Launched
G Motor has revealed a new global corporate identity which will lead the company into its second century. The new MG logo will roll out progressively in Australia and New Zealand over the next three years, headlining a drive towards new energy mobility solutions and a greater focus on the community and caring at a local level.

MG Motor Australia virtual ‘Show and Shine’
The MGCCC Committee welcomes the chance to show our MGs in this event.
The results are in – Congratulations to Terry Griffiths (Best MGB GT (4 Cyl) in show), Amelia Starkey (best Vintage MG) and Malcolm Robertson (Best MG Saloon in Show) who won prizes with their MGs in the MG Motor Australia virtual ‘Show and Shine’ – well done for putting MGCCC on the winners podium!
- MG Motor announces return of virtual ‘Show and Shine’ – a celebration of MG vehicles and the passionate community that surrounds them
- All entries support Australian Red Cross
- Event takes place from Wednesday 15 September – Friday 15 October with MG donating $30 for every vehicle submitted
In a time when many of us have been living more at home, the event provides an opportunity to spotlight the many colourful stories, cars and owners, who hail from all walks of life. Amid an unfolding pandemic, Show and Shine was created to unite MG owners nationwide, many of whom would in normal times be active participants in various physical car shows around Australia.

A classic car Lunchtime Natter is held at Weston Park, Yarralumla (second picnic spot on the right)
each Tuesday from 12.30pm.
Our cub exists as a community for MG owners and enthusiasts. We share friendship, knowledge and the love of MGs.
We know our cars are admired at many displays. To provide eager car watchers with some information on your pride and joy, the Club has developed a display template for use at display days. Recommend printing A3 colour and laminating for display purposes. Alternatively, it can be framed.

Our Monthly Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month, (except January), at :
St Peter’s Anglican Church Hall, corner of Parkinson Street and Watling Place,
Weston at 7.45pm. The meeting concludes with a light supper.
