Club Monthly General Meeting

Format is a guest speaker / presentation followed by a short meeting finishing with supper and a chat with other members.

This month's guest speaker is Brooke McDonald (daughter of Club member Kerry McDonald), who will speak on behalf of the Angelina CASK Neurological Research Foundation, MGCC Canberra's designated charity for this year.

Understanding CASK and the impact the MGCCC contribution makes

This year the Club's Community Support donation is going to the Angelina CASK Neurological Research Foundation, now publicising as Cure Cask. Brooke McDonald, mum to Emma who lives with CASK Gene Mutation, will share an overview of CASK and its impact on family life. She will also highlight the many ways the CASK community connects and the research currently underway to find a cure. The presentation will include a short clip from a Professor at The University of Queensland, who discusses the research program being conducted in Australia. 

Come along and hear Brooke talk on her experience within the CASK community and developments towards finding a cure.
