The Springtime Run is from Tharwa to enjoy a half hour 30 km drive on sealed roads to a picnic together at the Orroral Valley Space Tracking Station Site

This pristine picnic place in open ground nestles into the surrounding high hills. The well established grounds include picnic tables well undercover. The electric BBQs are usually well maintained and recently built good toilet facilities are only a short walk away. Large deciduous trees provide nearby shade on established lawns. 

The story of the once important space tracking facility is provided there and is well worth a look. Kangaroos abound (pun intended) and eagles soar high above. Springtime up here seems unspoilt and is an easy drive south from the Tuggeranong Valley.

Assemble at 11:30 am in the lay-by just south of the Tharwa Bridge.
